The "street" element of these drums derives from their organic nature. Every drum shell is carved by hand from a single chunk of environmentally conscious plantation-grown mahogany wood, that is treated and dried in buildings powered by solar technology.. Twenty coats of teak oil are applied to the shell to protect and preserve the wood. The Toca djembe drum comes fitted with a hand selected goatskin head and utilizes a traditional rope tuning system, allowing you to keep the drum in optimal pitch. The end result is a drum that sounds as earthy and natural as it looks.
Street Series djembes are available now in small, medium, and large head diameters (approximately 8", 10", and 12" respectively), and in your choice of Cherry Stain or Brown & Black Stain finish.
