Hand crafted by Morad Turki in Egypt, this quality electric oud features a Soho Piezo ceramic pickup with a Soho CT-4 four-band equalizer, including volume control and low battery indicator. The scale length is approximately 600 mm. The finish on the body, neck and angled headstock is a smooth black metallic-flake catalyzed polyurethane. This electric frame oud is created by hand from pine wood. The finger board is carefully fashioned from finely grained teak (Tectona Grandis). There are twelve tuning gears, but this electric frame oud is strung with only eleven strings. That is because traditionally, the second string in the bass course is not used. A twelfth string may be used if desired. These metal tuning gears making getting and staying in tune easier than the traditional peg tuners, yet it maintains the traditional angled back headstock.
This professional electric oud comes with a padded nylon gig bag with a roomy zippered storage compartment and convenient adjustable shoulder strap.
