This pro-level Riq was designed by world famous percussionist Issam Houshan. The Issam Houshan Signature Riq is exterior tunable, and comes with a custom padded woven nylon case with detachable shoulder strap and a front pocket embossed with Issam's name, as well as a tuning tool. Issam Houshan was personally involved in overseeing the production of his signature riq, which was professionally hand crafted in Syria by professional artisans and fabricators. The quality is apparent in every aspect of the Issam Houshan Signature Riq, from the custom rounded stainless chrome steel tuning hardware, chrome counter hoop, and hard wood shell frames with attractive colors and quality finishes, all constructed under Issam's strict supervision.
The Issam Houshan Signature Riq measures 10" (25.3 cm) across (including zils), and weighs just under 2 lb. (.91 kg). The wood frame of the Issam Houshan Signature Riq measures 8.5" (22 cm).
